Officially unveiled alongside two bigger siblings in July, the Motorola Droid Mini now has a red version. Like the entirety of the Droid line, this is exclusive to Verizon. And it’s now available. Previously, the Droid Mini was only out in black.
The Motorola Droid Mini comes with a 4.3-inch 720p HD touchscreen, a 10 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP front camera, a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, all the usual connectivity options (including LTE support, of course), and a 2,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The Droid Mini in red can be ordered from Verizon’s website, and it costs the same as the black version: $49.99 with a new two-year contract. That’s half the price it sold for back when it launched, so this might be a good deal if you love the Droid line and the color red, but hate big phones.
For a ‘Mini’ version, the Droid Mini fares well in the specs department, basically having almost identical innards to its bigger siblings save for screen size and battery capacity (both understandable, though, because of the obvious size constraints).
