Xiaomi is not doing all that well as far as sales are concerned lately, other Chinese brands, like Huawei, OPPO and Vivo, are currently in front of Xiaomi (Q2 2016 results). Xiaomi needs to find a way to counter those companies and try to reclaim its position in China, as some of you might remember, Xiaomi was China’s number one smartphone manufacturer at the end of last year. That being said, Xiaomi’s Redmi devices are usually selling extremely well due to their affordable price tag, great build and more or less really nice specs.
Having that in mind, both the Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 have been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) yesterday, which suggests that those two devices might get announced soon. The Redmi 4 is rumored to launch on August 25th, which essentially means that the Redmi Note 4 might launch alongside its smaller brother. In any case, we have a new Redmi Note 4 leak to share with you. TENAA had already shared Redmi Note 4’s specs, and the phone’s alleged retail box just surfaced as well, carrying a spec sheet as well, and it more or less confirms what TENAA reported on. The Redmi Note 4 will sport a 5.5-inch display (quite probably a FullHD resolution one), while it will pack in 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 64GB of native storage. The phone will be fueled by the Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor by MediaTek, and a 13-megapixel shooter will be placed on its back. The 5-megapixel camera will be available on the phone’s front side, and a 4,100mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and it will not going to be removable.
The Redmi Note 4 will be made out of metal, and chances are it will sport a fingerprint scanner on the back. You can expect this phone to come with three capacitive buttons below the display, menu, home and back, respectively. The Redmi Note 4 is, essentially, expected to look like the Redmi 4 which leaked recently, aside from the fact it will be somewhat bigger due to the larger display. We still do not know how much will the phone cost, but you can expect it to be really affordable, it might cost less than $150 in China.
