LaurentCie tipped us off on a sweet new notes application he designed for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Remember is built specifically for those looking for a quick & simple app to throw their idea’s, needs, lists down with a nice clear ui and price tag that won’t flat your fat pockets out.
Remember is compatible with BlackBerry Tablet 2.0 & higher. The application requires no set up or instructions. Once installed you just grab a new note from the top right and add some info. Delete by dragging to the trash-can.
When LaurentCie let me know about his new latest application, my blogging instincts made me think of another note application that had just come out the previous week. Fortunately I realize the similarities, however I’m also aware that the approval time for a new product in BlackBerry App World would’ve put this back a few weeks making it just a coincidence that he and the other developer had a similar ideal for a notes style application. However, Remember is only compatible is landscape view and not portrait.
And I do dig this app too. It’s very easy to grab the icon, launch the app and see a couple little important reminders that get me back to what’s important in my life. I like the idea of making notes larger, and the integration of the Tablet 2.0′s spell-check & predictive text features. The black-denim background is nice too. One feature I might like in future updates for it, or apps like this would just be an option to change the background, and/or add your own wallpaper.
But for just $1.99 Remember is a steal. I like the Bridge version of the MemoPad just to access my notes from my BlackBerry. With a MemoPad missing as a native BlackBerry Tablet 2.0 feature, these apps are a must have. Just depends on your preferences. Pick up Remember from your PlayBook below!
