“It’s road trip!” That’s the instantly meme-tastic autocorrect error that insisted on displaying instead of “Utah road trip!” during the demo of the popular universal video-editing appReplay at Apple’s iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 event earlier this month.
Now, if you’ve been wanting to use the same light effect that was used during the “It’s road trip” demo (which has since been rectified by Apple with some post-production magic), your wait is over. The just released update to Replay officially makes that effect available in the form of a new video style called Light.
“Light produces amazing text effects and transitions, with rays of light shining through your photos and videos,” Replay developer Stupeflix notes. “This effect is called volumetric lighting, it was never done on mobile before. Its very Hollywood!”

Note that Light is a video style that requires significantly more computing power than a typical effect in Replay. As such, it’s supported by the following devices only: iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2, and iPad Mini 3.
The new version of Replay also includes the following new features and improvements:
Snappy has a great new variation
Toss also has a brand new variation
easier music importing
access to more iOS8 Photo Albums
improved movie sharing via email
faster movie sharing from Home screen
better experience when uploading movies to the web
