Have you ever wondered why you plumped for your shiny Android instead of an iPhone? Other than the Apple smartphone’s heinously overpriced nature and lack of support for Flash that is. Well new data from Hunch suggests your decision could have been affected by your personality. Spooky.
First comes the obvious stuff, iPhone owners are 67 per cent more likely be aged above 35 and to have a household income of over $200,000, the survey was drawn from US Hunch users. Android owners however, are by far and away with the young and trendy 18-34 crowd and 24 per cent more likely to have a household income between $50,000 and $100,000. Clearly we’re a frugal bunch with good taste.
It’s the really interesting tidbits come later, with Android owners revealed as huge fans of Radiohead, country living and pets. iPhone users in contrast enjoy texting behind the wheel, the albums of Belle and Sebastian and snacking on mixed nuts. On a side note, who writes a survey question about mixed nuts?
Anyway for the full entertaining list of results cast your eyes below. If can think of any other characteristics associated with Android and iPhone users before to tell us in the comment section too.
