Jon R is back to discuss various topics in and out of the tech world.
On this week’s episode, Jon riffs on the Xbox One and the Kinect’s voice control features. One of the biggest problems with the PlayStation 4 is the DualShock 4’s battery life. The hassle of having to recharge your controller after only a few hours of use is what pushed Jon to revisit the Xbox One. With help from the Kinect, the Xbox One can launch any app, game, or show without the need of a controller.
Simply say “Xbox,” followed by an action and the Xbox will do as you say. You never have to worry about batteries running low because the Kinect is always plugged in and always listening. If you do decide you want to control the console via its controller, you’ll get at least double the battery life when compared to the PS4’s controller. Now, this doesn’t make the Xbox One a better console than the PS4, but it does add something that you can’t find on any other console. All this and more in this episode of Rettinger’s Riffs!
