I come from a time when young musicians had pretty much nothing more than a guitar, an amp, and (if they were lucky) a garage. Everything else was well out of our price range, and even it wasn’t, you didn’t dare set foot in a music store for fear the guys playing Rush songs on every guitar in the store would remind you of just how untalented you still were.
Obviously, things have changed. Musicians now have access to some amazing hardware and software at surprisingly low price points, and if you already have a Mac or an iPad, you’ve got a demo studio ready to go. The latest bit of hardware you’ll want to add to that is the Apogee Jam 96k guitar input.
We’ve reviewed a lot of guitar inputs here at the Technology Tell Apple Channel…you’ll have that when so many of us still dream of being Jukebox Heroes. Normally, I reserve these reviews for the guitarists, but this time around, the bass player gets the spotlight.
