Grand Theft Auto 5 will be releasing on new-gen systems next week, and Rockstar is asking for your patience if you plan on picking up the game during its launch as well as your feedback to help make it as smooth as possible.
If you recall, the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online didn’t go according to plan as players experienced a number of issues, which included the inability to connect to a game as players ended up being frozen in the first race or being unable to start a job.
Because of this, Rockstar is being a bit more cautious this time with next week’s release and is asking for players to be vocal if any issues arise. The developer has tested the game “extensively,” although they admit there’s no way several hundred testers can replicate the strain millions of players could cause. So, Rockstar is asking players to be patient and to use their Rockstar Games Support website for any and all technical issues as well as email GTAOnline@rockstargames.com to provide official player feedback.
Rockstar also notes a mandatory Title Update will be made available on Monday that will include some last minutes tweaks and optimizations to prepare GTA 5 for its release.
