A new report says that Rogers will launch the Galaxy S4 on April 19, right alongside the HTC One, which would mean that the Canadian carrier could be the first operator in the world to have the devices in stock.
According to TechnoBuffalo, Rogers will price the handsets at $169 (Galaxy S4) and $149 (HTC One,) when purchased with new three-year contracts, but we’re still waiting for the carrier to make everything official.
Rogers will also launch the Sony Xperia Z on April 7-9 for $99 on-contract.
In the U.S., the Galaxy S4 will go on pre-order on April 16 with at least two carriers (AT&T and U.S. Cellular,) while T-Mobile said it will ship the device on May 1. Other operators including Verizon and Sprint are yet to unveil Galaxy S4 launch plans.
As for the HTC One, the handset’s launch was already delayed, and we’re still waiting for carriers to properly announce release plans for it.
