Those using the Roku app on an iPhone may want to launch the App Store and grab the latest update. Yup, the Roku iPhone remote app has recently been updated. This latest update arrives as version 1.1.0 and brings a few notable improvements.
Added a standard remote control with “D pad” buttons and shortcuts for Netflix, Pandora and Crackle. You can toggle between standard and swipe remotes in app settings.
Improved device discovery in setup for some users. (If you still have trouble finding your Roku player, try turning on/off Wi-Fi on your iOS device.)
Improved loading time of Home (installed channels) tab.
Added shortcut to switch accounts when you select a Roku player that is on your network but isn’t linked to the Roku account to which you signed in.
Otherwise, Roku for iPhone requires iOS 4.2 or later for use and remains available as a free (to download and use) app.
