Spy photo of newly shipped cases with expanded camera window might herald new, re-worked iPhone 4 for AT&T. Then again...
According to Boy Genius Report, a shipment of brand new iPhone cases – with a larger hole on the back for the camera – is proof that an re-worked iPhone 4 handset will be coming to AT&T very soon.
As you can see from a blow-up of BGR's exclusive photo – the item looks like a clear plastic cover (to keep your fingers from shorting out the cell phone's antenna) with an expanded, oval opening where the lens will be.
BGR thinks the new wider opening might foretell a larger lens on a new model.
Or, on second thought, BGR also reports that it might just be a new, larger hole to allow the iPhone 4's flash a wider space to operate.
If that's “the case”, then these new covers do not mean they're designed for an upcoming, new iPhone model – only that AT&T is selling new cases with a larger camera/flash opening made to fit on last year's models.
