Ah, the good ol’ rumor mill. It’s been a while since we’ve been here, but it’s about that time of year again where rumors will start to fly around the web like nobody’s business.
The phone that will likely get the most attention during this year’s chitter-chatter season: The Samsung Galaxy S IV. That’s exactly the phone in question for today’s hot topic circulating the Internet.
The folks from SamMobile were contacted by their inside tipster from Samsung, who claims the device in the image above is the next generation of the Galaxy S line. In terms of design, the phone looks very similar to the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Premier, which helps to legitimize the authenticity of the render, but we also know how this game goes: Nothing is ever a 100% sure thing with Samsung until an official presentation occurs, so don’t be surprised if the end result looks completely different from what we’re looking at here.
As for specs, nothing has been confirmed, but here’s the current lineup everyone’s whispering about:
Exynos 5450 Quad-Core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz
2GB of RAM
4.99” SuperAMOLED FULL HD resolution (1080×1920) Display
13 Megapixel Rear Facing Camera
2 Megapixel Front Facing Camera
Android 4.2.1 (Out of the box)
What do you guys and gals think? Could this be the real deal? I won’t bet on anything at this point, but I will say I hope that super-sexy, thin bezel isn’t far off from what we end up seeing. ’Tis the season kids. Stay tuned and we’ll be sure to let you know as more rumors, leaks, and (eventually) official details are released.
