The next iteration of flagship devices will soon be upon us which means the rumours are undoubtedly going to begin flooding the web. Today we have some rumoured specs for HTC’s next flagship, tentatively referred to as the HTC One M9.
The rumoured specs surfaced courtesy of Chinese site MyDrivers which claim that the next HTC flagship will sport the Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB RAM, a very large 5.5″ QHD display, a 16MP camera with OIS, 3500 mAh battery and a new iteration of Boom Sound powered by Bose.
The specs all seem pretty reasonable but there are definitely a few things that stand out. The 5.5″ screen, while not massive by todays standards, could make this a HUGE phone if HTC follows the same “One” design language. HTC’s One devices have always sported some pretty large bezels so this will either be a really big phone or HTC is really shrinking down the bezels; fingers crossed for the latter. The mention of the 16MP camera should also receive special attention. The fact that HTC is using such a high pixel count camera would definitely lead us to believe they have ditched their UltraPixel technology. While the UltraPixel camera did do a great job in low light, it often lacked detail due to the lower pixel count.
As always, take this list with a grain of salt as nothing is official till it’s official but nothing on this list seems unreasonable so it wouldn’t be out of the question if the next HTC packed similar specs.
