The Galaxy S7 Edge is already shipping early for T-Mobile customers who pre-ordered the smartphone. Thanks to a few of them, we’ve already learned a bit more about the Always on Display and how the camera performs against the iPhone 6s Plus. Now we also know that, despite what should be relatively strong glass on the back of the device, it’ll definitely shatter.
One Redditor already managed to do just that, and it seems like it fell from a relatively low height. “It sadly slipped out of my pocket when I sat down at a the table,” Redditor WRX-RAWR explained. “It fell two feet but must have hit just right. My case is still in the mail.” There should be Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides of the Galaxy S7 Edge, but as the user notes – landing just right could create a pretty nasty situation.
Keep a case on that Galaxy S7 Edge for a bit, turns out that T-Mobile and its insurance provider Assurance can’t replace the unit very quickly given the demand for the Galaxy S7 Edge.
