Samsung is again offering a free Gear Fit2 band to customers who purchase a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge in the United Kingdom. The company ran a similar promotion earlier this year in an effort to boost sales following the Galaxy Note 7 recall. This time, you have until June 30 to take advantage of the offer.
At £179 (approx. $231), the Gear Fit2 is one of the more expensive fitness trackers on the market. But you get a lot for your money, including a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display, a 200mAh battery, and all the features you would expect from a high-end wearable — including a heart rate monitor and built-in GPS.
If you buy a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge in the U.K. before June 30 — either unlocked or on contract — you won’t have to worry about the Gear Fit2’s price tag, because you’ll get one absolutely free. Just make sure you purchase yours from a participating retailer (one advertising this promotion), then submit your claim to Samsung.
Although you’ll have to make your purchase before June 30, you’ll have until August 28 to submit your claim. Samsung doesn’t tell us how quickly you’ll receive your free Gear Fit2 once your claim has been approved, but the wait for most customers was pretty lengthy the last time around.
Sadly, Samsung isn’t offering the same deal with the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus just yet.
