So just recently (as in a few minutes ago) Samsung UNPACKED 2013 was live, and Samsung announced the Galaxy S4. The event was filled with unnecessary fluff and skits that easily wasted a lot of time, but that’s irrelevant now. The Galaxy S 3s 4 was unveiled, people went crazy, and that’s all that matters. Now we’re hear to state all the facts, specs, and features from the event for you all and help explain what each thing does …at least for the most part.

Network – 3G( HSPA+ 42): 820/900/1900/2100 MHz
4G(LTE CAT 3 100/50): up to Hexa band
Display – 4.99″ Full HD Super AMOLED (1920*1080) display (441ppi)
OS – Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)
Camera – Rear: 13Mp AF camera with Flash & Zero Shutter lag, BiS
Full HD recording @30fps with Zero Shutter lag, BiS
Now those specs show us much more wanted information than what was talked about during the event. In UNPACKED 2013 we were shown all the new features from the S4 and it’s new upgraded user experience, which looked just like last year’s TW except instead of a water-based theme, it was more light/sun-based. Now all the features and stats JK Shin, Will Chase, and Jeremy (from the commercials) unveiled are below.
Dual Camera – When taking pictures and video you can see what is happening through both cameras.
Sound & Shot – You can now send picture embedded with an audio recording
Smart Scroll – Allows you to scroll up and down by tilting the device
Smart Pause – Pauses videos when you look away from the screen
Air View- Takes the S Pen’s air view features and gives them to your finger
Group Play- Allows you to play music through multiple (Galaxy) devices at once, that you can beam to one another with NFC, and you can also share pictures this way as well
S Health – Paired with accessories and track and tell you your health, such weight, blood pressure, etc.
Samsung Knox – Allows you to have separate “homes” for work, home, and play. This go father than just different homescreen, but also to different files, picture, etc
Samsung HomeSync – Allows you to stream media throughout your home from a personal server device of up to 1Tb of storage
Drama Shot – Lets the S4 take 100 photos (in 4 secs) and edit the pictures together in a motion-esque picture
Eraser – Allows you to erase unwanted objects in pictures
S Translate – Is a Google Translate port which only supports 9 languages so far (Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese, and (American and British) English. It works with typed, spoken, or pictured words, and doesn’t need data.
Adapt Display – Changes brightness, gamma, and other features of the screen when you change tasks such as from playing a game to reading a website
Story Album – Is a feature that places all your pictures taken in one location or time period into an album than you can physical send to someone (for a fee)
S Voice Drive – Is a new car homescreen that takes in your voice to do action and can pair via bluetooth
Samsung Smart Switch – Allows you to transfer data between devices with “ease”
Upgraded Samsung Hub
Upgraded ChatOn which now allows group video of up to 3 participants
New S View Cover which has a small cutout so you will be able to see important information without having to open the case.
Colors – Black Mist and White Frost
