In Apples defense they don’t have multiple smartphones being released per month, but Apple sales of smartphones are showing slow growth at the moment.
The Galaxy S4 is Samsung’s new high end device for consumers and it has been proven by sales to be a hit, but critics aren’t so sure about the excess amount of software that it on the phone the feel of the device.
Apart from those uncertainties the general consensus is that it is a good competitor for the top spot, which has been held by the iPhone for so long.
New Phones and Statistics
Samsung’s complete mobile phone sector is seeing sales of $358 billion sales reports Bloomberg, Samsung is seeing most of that amount of sales being made up of their low end handset being sold in developing countries. These low end devices are being targeted at people who can’t afford an iPhone but want more than a feature phone.
The sales of the newly released S4 are expected to surpassed those of the previous generation the Galaxy S3 very quickly.
