Samsung has now provided firm details on the pricing of its latest additions to the Galaxy J (2017) series in Europe. The details come directly from Samsung in the Netherlands, although it should be expected that the price is relative to most, if not all, countries in the region. In terms of the pricing, the Galaxy J7 (2017) is the most expensive of the three devices, coming in at €339 ($382). While the Galaxy J5 (2017) will be the middle-priced handset at €279 ($315), and the Galaxy J3 (2017) the cheapest of the bunch, priced at €219 ($245).
These three devices were only officially announced earlier today in Europe. As a result, most of the details had already been confirmed, including the mentioned-arrival details. The price was the only missing piece of the puzzle, although has now been confirmed along with a reconfirmation of the arrival dates for each handset. As such, the Samsung Galaxy J5 will be the first to become available, in June, followed by the release of the Galaxy J7 in July, followed again by the release of the Galaxy J3 in August of this year. The only other confirmed details in this announcement, is that all three of the devices will be available in Europe in two colors, black and gold.
As for the devices, these have been the subject of plenty of leaks over the last few weeks and months. The Galaxy J line for 2017 is strictly a numerically-ascending affair, so those looking for the most premium of the three will want to be waiting for the Galaxy J7. This one comes equipped with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1920 by 1080 resolution. As well as 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 13-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,600 mAh battery, and Android 7.0 (Nougat) pre-installed. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) sees a number of reductions, including a smaller 5.2-inch display with a 1280 by 720 resolution, 2GB RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery. While the same level of storage, and the same front and rear camera configuration, as the Galaxy J7 are included. As is Android Nougat. Lastly, there is the Galaxy J3 (2017). This is the smallest of the bunch as the display comes in at 5-inches (1280 by 720 resolution), while the front-facing camera is only a 5-megapixel camera, and the battery a 2,400 mAh capacity battery. Otherwise, the same rear camera is on offer as the other two models. While the RAM and storage levels are the same as the Galaxy J5 (2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage).
