According to a report, Samsung might have underestimated the demand for the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone as it is reportedly planning to increase production by nearly three times. It is said that Samsung is in talks with more touch screen panel manufacturers with the current supplier (Alps Electronics) not managing to offer the components in the required quantities.
There’s no word on the manufacturers that Samsung has teamed up with, although S-MAC is said to be one of them. Either way, it’s clear that Samsung is expecting decent demand for the new Edge flagship. This could be a decent opportunity for local manufacturers to strike a deal with Samsung and ensure that the company has a steady flow of components for the Galaxy S6 Edge.
