Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are curiously waiting for the Android 5.0 update ever since it was announced in October. The manufacturer has now mentioned that the smartphone will directly get the latest Android 5.0.1 update, thus saving the trouble of rolling out two separate updates.
This will also apply to the Galaxy Note Edge which was launched alongside the Galaxy Note 4 earlier in September, although it’s only available in a handful of markets. Android 5.0.1 carries some stock Android related bug fixes, so it’s good to know that Samsung is looking to bring that update to its most recent flagships.
Samsung is currently believed to be testing the Android 5.0 ROM on its flagship smartphones, so we already have some idea of what to expect from the manufacturer. The official update rollout for the two devices should commence in the weeks to come. While the company isn’t expected to tone down TouchWiz implementation with Android 5.0, there are going to be a multitude of changes in tow.
