It was the Samsung Galaxy A3 which was the first Galaxy A device that was updated to the Lollipop and now Samsung has updated the Galaxy A7. Samsung is now rolling out Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to the device in Russia and it was here where the Galaxy A3 update was also rolled out first. The firmware is available through Samsung Kies. The update has been rolled out but it may take the OTA a few days before it reaches all the users.
Android 5.0 Lollipop brings numerous improvements to the phone including an updated interface with Material Design touches, advanced notifications, faster performance, a do not disturb mode and the option for setting a notification’s priority and much more. However Samsung won’t be offering the users the new UX from the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge.
Now coming to the Galaxy A5, it seems that now it won’t be long before the Lollipop update is rolled out to it. So if you need to check whether you have received the update on your A7 then go to Settings then to About device and then to Software updates menu.
