Samsung Galaxy A9 to boast four rear cameras
While we’re still seeing quite a few devices with dual rear cameras, some companies are already setting their sights on a trio of cameras on the back of their handsets. And then there’s Samsung.
A couple of recent leaks have revealed what Samsung may be calling the Galaxy A9. This appears to be another smartphone with a big display, a fingerprint reader on the back, and four cameras next to that biometric security measure. That’s right, four cameras. Serial leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) has a clear look at the back of the upcoming phone, showing off the vertical layout of the sensors.
The top camera will be the ultra-wide camera with an 8MP sensor and an f/2.4 aperture. The next is a 10MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The third camera will apparently be the 24MP main camera, with the last of the four being a 5MP depth camera with an f/2.2 aperture:

Meanwhile, MySmartPrice has a separate report, showing off the upcoming device in a blue/green hue along with the four cameras on the back. That report states the handset will have a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with a resolution of 1080×2220. The Galaxy A9 will also boast an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. It will have a microSD card slot as well. The front-facing camera will apparently be 24MP.
Are you ready for smartphones with four rear cameras?
