It is claimed the Samsung Galaxy A9 has received a couple updates in the past week. Both are based on Android 6.0.1, so it is unclear what the difference between them is. But the good news is now you know you have Marshmallow and everything the latest Android version has to offer.
Android Marshmallow offers cool improvements like Doze Mode, Google Now on Tap, native fingerprint reader support, granular permissions and much more. You can read all about Android Marshmallow features and improvements by hitting the link below.
Samsung’s Galaxy A series continues to be a very interesting one. These are high-end handsets with some lower-end specs. The Samsung Galay A9 touts an awesome design, good build quality and acceptable performance. Though on the downside, it does have just a 1080p screen and a so-so camera.
It’s a bit hard to tell where the phone really stands, as it was priced at almost $600 when it was first launched. That puts it only a little below the high-end flagships. But then again, it was made mostly for Asian markets, which are a whole other ball game. Regardless, it’s nice to see the phone is being kept nice and updated.
Have you gotten your upgrade yet? You can always go ahead and check for OTA updates in the settings!
