Samsung’s Finnish and Danish wings are now telling us that the Galaxy Alpha smartphone will start receiving the Android 5.0 update along with the Galaxy Note 2 flagship from 2012. Samsung has mentioned that the update for the Galaxy Note 2 will begin later in 2015, with no concrete word on when. So even though we know that an update is on the horizon, there’s no precise timeframe available at this point.
Despite that, it’s good to know that Samsung plans to roll out the update to one of its smartphones. It was almost a given that the handset would receive the update considering that it was only recently unveiled by the manufacturer.
The Galaxy Alpha was one of the first Samsung phones to feature an all metal body, so it’s a very significant device for the Korean company.
