The Samsung Galaxy Core was launched last year in developing markets as a midrange offering. A new leak has now revealed the successor of this smartphone featuring quite a capable hardware. This leak reveals the device carrying the model number SM-G355H which is the dual SIM model.
The handset is revealed to feature a 4.5 inch WVGA display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 4GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a measly 512MB of RAM, a 2,000 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.
Since the smartphone features midrange hardware, users will have to settle for HSPA networks as there’s no LTE on board here. The Galaxy Core 2 is expected to hit Russia in mid-May for the local equivalent of $277with other markets expected to follow soon.
Samsung is popular for its low cost budget offerings in developing markets, so this will be a decent addition to the lineup. The company will hope the Galaxy Core 2 is well received in the midrange markets, which makes up for quite a bit of the company’s sales figures.
