Samsung has officially taken the wraps off its newest budget-level device that’s headed straight for Straight Talk and Net10′s wireless networks. The device is called the Galaxy Discover and comes with some modest specs including an 800MHz processor, 3.5-inch HVGA display, 2.7GB of storage built-in and a 3-megapixel rear camera. While those specs leave a lot to be desired— the Galaxy Discover does have one thing most (Samsung) devices don’t— a unmolested Android experience. That’s right friends— the Galaxy Discover comes loaded up with stock Ice Cream Sandwich running the show, which gives a surprising treat to potential customers. Of course the Galaxy Discover probably doesn’t have the specs to run a TouchWiz-flavored Ice Cream Sandwich experience, but we don’t think too many potential customers would complain about having stock Android and all.
So while the device is officially out in the open– it is still unclear of when it will be available for purchase for Straight Talk and Net10 customers, but here’s hoping we see the device sooner than later.
