Just yesterday we came to know about the Galaxy J3 (2016) launch in India on March 31st. Now the company has launched the Galaxy J5 (2016) & Galaxy J7 (2016) in China. Even earlier the company has first unveiled the Galaxy A5 (2016) & A7 (2016) in China and later introduced in the other markets. Both the devices will be available in Gold, White and Pink color options. Talking about the price, the Galaxy J5 (2016) costs 1398 Yuan (approx $215 / Rs. 14,300) while the Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a price tag of 1898 Yuan (approx $292 / Rs. 19,500).
The new Galaxy J5 (2016) sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI overlaid.
It features 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and laser autofocus, and on the front is a 5MP selfie camera with the same f/1.9 aperture. The device is backed by a 3,1000mAh battery that can easily last for more than of usage. It also supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity features like 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The 2016 Galaxy J5 measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs 159 grams.
The Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a slightly larger and better 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED display. The SM-J7108 comes powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor while the SM-J7108 includes a 1.6GHz octa-core processor. Apart from this both the variants comes with same specifications. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot.
It has the same 13MP + 5MP camera as seen on the Galaxy J5 (2016). The J7 2016 also includes a slightly larger 3,300mAh battery. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and supports dual SIM dual standby option. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 151.7 x 76 x 7.8 mm and weighs around 170 grams.
