With the early launch of the flagships Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge, Samsung has managed to gain adequate profits. The company has also been aggressive in launching the devices in mid-range and premium mid-range categories in the recent past. Samsung has recently released a budget-friendly smartphone called as Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) in India with S-bike mode and is priced at Rs. 8,990. Today, the brand has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) & J7 (2016) in India. The smartphones are the upgraded variants of Samsung Galaxy J5 & J7 that launched last year.

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016)
The Galaxy J5 (2016) features a 5.2-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display that offers a pixel density of 284ppi. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM for smooth performance. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based TouchWiz UI out of the box. The device has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.
On the camera section, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus, f/1.9 aperture, LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with a f/1.9 aperture for perfect selfie images. It supports 4G-LTE along with other standard connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset packs a 3000mAh battery that can easily take you through the day on a single charge. Its dimensions measure 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm weighs around and comes in Gold, White, and Pink color options.
Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016)
The Galaxy J7 (2016) comes with a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD Super AMOLED display offering a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood, it fuels Exynos 7870 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz paired with 2GB of RAM for lag-free performance. It has dual sim dual standby support and includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB port. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.
On the camera department, the smartphone comes with the same set of cameras as seen on the Galaxy J5 (2016), a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter with LED flash. The handset powers a 3300mAh battery that the company claims has the energy to last upto 354 hours of standby time. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based TouchWiz UI overlaid, and there is no information about the Android Marshmallow update. Its dimensions measure 151.7 x 76 x 7.8 mm and weighs around 170 grams.
