Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is soon going to available in India and this will be an Amazon exclusive smartphone. That means Amazon is the only retailer who is going to sell the phone.
This is a surprise move as Samsung devices are normally sold through many retail channels and carries. To make a smartphone only one retailer exclusive means the phone is not in high demand or Samsung just want to try something different. Whether other online retailers will offer the device later on remains to be seen, and we will also need to wait for details on pricing and availability, though a listing on the Amazon India website suggests a launch shouldn’t be far off.
Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is a smartphone in Galaxy S5 phone series with familier hardware but with a better camera. Galaxy K Zoom features 20.7 MP 1/2.3 BSI CMOS camera sensor with 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash and optical image stabilization. The K zoom offers a total of 28 shooting modes and comes with a redesigned camera UI that looks similar to what is offered in the Galaxy S5.
Other hardware specs include 4.8-inch 720p screen, a hexa-core Exynos 5 Hexa 5260 processor with two 1.7GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, 2.1 MP front shooter and a 2430 mAh battery. As far as connectivity goes, the K Zoom comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0LE, GPS, NFC and HSPA+ (42 Mbps), and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
