Well here’s budgetary surprise for all Canadian customers. The low-budget smartphone tagged as Samsung Galaxy Mini is voiced to arrive via Mobilicity. MobileSyrup reported on spotting the handset with little details on the release date and pricing plans. The news breakers poured in the news from a rock concert in Toronto organized by Samsung where inside one of the demo booths of the Galaxy Mini, it read “Coming Soon To Mobilicity“.
Various markets have already witnessed the launch of Galaxy Mini, including the United States and Europe. However, the smartphone is known with a different name in the U.S., tagged as the Samsung Dart.
It is expected that the Canadian version of the smartphone will feature an improved version of the story as it launches with a 3-megapixel camera instead of the 2-megapixel snapper included in the Samsung Dart.
Moreover, the Samsung Dart is powered with a low performance ARM 600 MHz processor and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo but little expectations are there on an update with a newer Gingerbread version of the operating system.
On the other hand, as you all know, the Galaxy Mini features a small 3.14-inch QVGA touchscreen with 262K colors support, 240 x 320 pixels resolution, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Swype text input and proximity sensor.
