NEW YORK, USA – Samsung launched the much awaited Galaxy Note 10.1 for the United States market.
The launching ceremony provided some information regarding several new features of the 10.1-inch display device. The Galaxy Note features Multiscreen, where user can run two different applications side-by-side, for example, watching a video on one and sketching on other with the S Pen, or can even capture and crop image from one half of the screen and put it in other half running a different app. S Note, Internet Browser, Video Player, Email, Gallery and Polaris Office are supported by Multiscreen.
The tablet also carries many apps which debuted with Samsung Galaxy S III, such as Smart Stay, Pop up Play and others. Additionally, with AllShare Play, app contents can shared in real time on HDTVs, phones and laptops to a large group on the same network. The Group Cast app saves time by allowing user to collaborate on documents, files in real-time without having the need to download separately.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 also has its own version of Adobe Photoshop Touch, optimized to benefit from the S Pen.
As for S Note, the app is integrated with knowledge search engines, Shape Match and Formula Match, to work efficiently.
Also, the popular book reading app, Nook, will come preloaded. The Samsung Smart Remote app lets the Note 10.1 act as universal remote control that can command the entertainment system in a home.
The Samsung Galaxy Note can be bought from Amazon, Best Buy, HH Greg, Tiger Direct, CDW and other select retailers for $499 and $549 for 16GB and 32GB version, respectively.
