Now Phones4U has got on board, revealing tariffs for O2, Orange and Vodafone, with the cheapest coming from Orange at £31 per month over two years, plus an initial outlay of £149.99 for the Galaxy Note 2.
Want a good deal? Good luck
That will get you a rather paltry 400 minutes, 3,000 texts and 750MB of data, while the £36 per month plan from O2 is slightly better with unlimited calls and text plus 1GB of data and you'll only need £60 up front.
If you fancy getting the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for free then be prepared to fork out £41 per month over 24 months to O2, and even then you'll only get a miserly 1GB of data - a SIM-only deal may be your best bet here.
However, it's still much cheaper than the iPhone 5, which is costing a dizzying £47 a month to get a free phone on some networks.
Phones4U say they will deliver Samsung Galaxy Note 2 pre-orders on October 2, while Clove expects units to arrive on September 28 and Unlocked Mobiles expects the latest 5.5-inch phablet to turn up sometime this week.
There's no sign of any tariffs with T-Mobile or Three as of yet, but we'd expect both networks to get on board with the Galaxy Note 2 pretty sharpish, as it's tipped to be a big seller.
