We round up the top rumors around the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – a device rumored to launch at Mobile World Congress in February
If you're a big fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note series, then you could be in for a treat very soon.
The manufacturer is rumoured to announce its newest Galaxy Note tablet at Mobie World Congress in February and we've rounded up the rumors for you to enjoy in one place.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 8.0 or Galaxy Fonblet?
Rumors are abound as to what Samsung will launch as its next Note device.
Some say it will be the Galaxy Note 3, others say the Galaxy Note 8.0, while the oddest rumors are saying it'll be called the Samsung Galaxy Fonblet.
We think Samsung should stick with its usual naming conventions and stick to wither the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, or Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date rumors
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should be announced at mobile World Congress this year, which falls between Feb. 24 and Feb. 28 in Barcelona.
Judging on previous announcements, Samsung is well-known for announcing new devices at the biggest consumer mobile show and this year will be no different.
Samsung has even said it will launch the Galaxy Note 8.0 at Mobile World Congress, but as we outline above, will this be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, or simply another device to add to the Galaxy Note 10.1?
With Apple nipping at the device's heels, rumoured to launch a phablet-sized device, the sooner Apple launches a new device, the better.
Rumors last week said Samsung could well reserve the launch of the Galaxy Note 3 until IFA, which would not leave us satisfied at all.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 spec rumors
What the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will feature depends heavily on which of these leaked devices we think will launch as the Galaxy Note 3.
If it's the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, as rumoured for a Mobile World Congress launch, it will include an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 5-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM and it will launch with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
We think the likelihood of Samsung launching an 8-inch Note device under the Note 3 moniker is very low - after all the Note and Note 2 both feature displays around the 5-inch mark, designed to be used as a phone rather than a tablet.
Much likelier rumors are those that suggest it would be a 6.3-inch device with Exynos 5 octo-core (or dual quad-core) processor.
