The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will not launch until the end of Q3 2014, but rumors regarding its alleged hardware are already making the rounds across the internet. According to Samsung’s SVP of Global Product Strategy, Hankil Yoon, the upcoming Galaxy Note will feature a new form factor. While he failed to elaborate what the design would be like, it is likely that he’s referring to the YOUM flexible display that the company has been developing in its research labs for a couple of years now.
The three sided YOUM display allows users to read notifications and other content on either sides of the device, rather than relying on the primary display. This could be particularly beneficial when the front display is covered by a case. Bear in mind this is only a rumor at this point, so we can’t say with certainty that Samsung will actually launch the Galaxy Note 4 with the said display.
The smartphone will most likely carry most other hardware specs from the Galaxy S5 such as water/dust resistance, heart rate monitor and even the fingerprint scanner. We hope to come across more leaks in the coming days to give us a better idea of the smartphone’s features and hardware.
