The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is currently running Android 5.0 Lollipop (for most parts at least) and is yet to receive the Android 5.1 upgrade. According to a popular Samsung fan blog, that day might not be too long as the company will reportedly start sending out the Android 5.1.1 update starting late July.
It’s not clear whether the customers will have to wait until the end of July or the beginning of August, but the wait for the carrier models might be significantly longer than unlocked variants. The company is already said to be beta testing the update for the Galaxy Note 4 and a myriad of other devices, so Samsung could be sending out the Android 5.1.1 update for a wide range of handsets.
The Android 5.1.1 update is also believed to introduce a new camera app, at least for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, so it’s safe to assume that the Galaxy Note 4 will see the same number of changes as well. Do you own a Galaxy Note 4? What do you make of this news? Sound off below.
