As one of the latest Samsung devices to hit store shelves, the Galaxy Note 5 will be one of the first devices in line to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. T-Mobile recently rolled out an update that secured the Note 4 against the Stagefright vulnerability, but did not upgrade the device beyond Android 5.1.1. We tested the Note 5 after applying the upgrade, and can confirm that it is now fully protected against Stagefright.
Meanwhile, Verizon pushed out a small security update to the Note 5 on September 25, but Sprint and AT&T are yet to catch up.
