In this latest installment of the series we will tackle the app related issues and concerns that occur on this model. As we all know, one of the best features of an Android device is its access to the Google Play Store. This allows the device owner to choose from the hundreds of thousands of apps available and install it in the phone. Sometimes, though issues concerning these installed apps will occur which is what we will be discussing.

Problem:I can’t install the amazon video app. it’s not in the play store so I’ve been trying to download it with the amazon app but it won’t work it reads ( error installing app please try again later) I did have it on this phone when I got the 6.0.1 up data & it was working till it just stopped one day so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but it won’t work
Solution: Since you are going to install an app from a source other than the Google Play Store you should enable the “unknown sources” feature of the device which is under security. What this does is that once it is enabled you will be able to install apps from other stores. Take note that this is not recommended since you may get an app that is infected with malware and other security threats.
If the “unknown sources” is already enabled and you still can’t install the app then try to follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
Delete the APK file of the app you downloaded. Download it again from its website. This eliminates the possibility that the previously downloaded file had got corrupted.
Check if there is still sufficient internal storage space. If possible, free up at least 1GB of space.
Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. Try to install the app again.
Contact the app developers as it may have problems when installed in the Marshmallow environment.
Note 5 Does Not Play Music In Power Saving Mode
Problem: i use amazon music app. after updating my phone if i have the power saving on it will not play songs to completion. it will play the song 3 quarters of the way then it starts buffering and doesn’t stop. if i ff to the next song it just continues to buffer. if i turn off the power saving then all the problems stop.
Solution: When power saving mode is enabled the phone will change some phone settings to make the battery life last longer. In this mode the maximum CPU performance is reduced and brightness is decreased among other such things. You mentioned that if you use the Amazon music app the music stops playing. Have you checked if this issue occurs with the stock music app? If it doesn’t happen with the stock music app then the problem could be caused by a bug in the Amazon music app itself. It may require a certain amount of processing power or other service that is not available when the phone is in power saving mode.
Another factor that can cause this issue is a glitch in the phone software. To check if this is the case follow the troubleshooting steps I have listed below. Move on to the next step if the issue is not resolved.
Clear the cache and data of the Amazon music app.
Uninstall then reinstall the Amazon music app.
Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
Note 5 TouchWiz Has Stopped Error
Problem:Everytime I try to open the themes app i get the error message touch wiz has stopped. I had this problem even before the update it just randomly started and i thought the update would fix it but it didn’t
Solution: One of the best ways to resolve this problem is to clear the cache and data of the TouchWiz app from the application manager. If this doesn’t work then I suggest you wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. If the problem persists then backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
Note 5 Calendar App Won’t Open After Marshmallow Update
Problem:The Calendar app (I believe it came on the Note5) now wont stay open. This started happening as soon as I installed Marshmallow. I open it up, and it closes down in about 1 to 2 seconds. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.
Solution: If this issue started after the update then it could be caused by a glitch in the phone software. Perform the following troubleshooting steps listed below. Move To the next step if the issue remains unresolved.
Clear the cache and data of the calendar app.
Wipe the cache partition of the phone from recovery mode.
Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 5 Air Command Not Working After Marshmallow Update
Problem:after marshmallow update the AIR COMMAND which is the most prominent feature of note 5 is not accessible. The option of AIR COMMAND has darkened. Please give a fix.
Solution: This is a known issue that affects certain builds of the Note 5. Try backing up your phone data then do a factory reset. If the issue still occurs then you have to wait for a software patch to fix this issue.
