This year Samsung has been enjoying the highlight right from the start all thanks to its sale of Galaxy S7 Edge, S7 and J2 (surprising) are the top selling Android smartphone for the first half of this year. After launching the latest iteration in S Series of handset during MWC week, the electronics giant was among the few brands who reported a jump in shipments in Q1 2016 compared to other brands such as Sony, LG, and even Apple.
The second half of this year may prove to be interesting as well since the newly launched Galaxy Note7 handset is receiving quite impressive response among critics as well as consumers. According to the reports popping up in local media, the brand is all said for massive pre-order sale in the home country, i.e. South Korea.
The numbers that are reported is close to 200,000, and it is apparently double the number of order Galaxy S7 got, which has seen 13 million units shipments so far. Looking at that pace, Note7 may very well be the best selling phablet device of the year and is poised to bring high volume sales and revenue to the brand.
Those preorder numbers are just of the past two days and is claimed to be the highest pre-sale for any Galaxy phone yet. It is not just a lucky device, but Samsung is rather spending a fortune on marketing their latest Note family handset. The brand has apparently set up 2800 experience zones across the home nation against the 2000 experience zones for the Galaxy S7.
Moreover, the company is offering it’s latest fitness tracker, the Gear Fit 2 as a gift with every new Note7 purchase in the country. You also get 50% of the repair cost if your screen is broken. There is a 100,000 won gift card bundled with the package that can be used at Samsung Pay Mall.
Usually, the company would reveal their new Note handset during IFA week in Berlin that happens in the first week of September. But releasing their handset ahead of the new Apple iPhone announcement gives company edge over the Cupertino company. The Note 7 is all set to be available globally by the August 19, which is still early than iPhone announcement.
