The KitKat firmware for the international variant of the handset appeared on Kies and is available in France. However, no information of its OTA update is available, but other regions of the world should get it sooner or later. The new software version will carry the build number N7100XXUFND3 and will bring all the features that the latest Android version has to offer.
The update will ensure an even faster and smoother interface with enhanced performance, full-screen album art, white status bar icons, a lock-screen camera shortcut, a transparent status bar and better stability. This upgrade will also bring Samsung’s own changes that include KNOX security and Samsung Wallet.
Samsung Galaxy Note II owners can check for the Kitkat update by navigating to Settings > About phone > Software Update menu.
