Last month Samsung launched the Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro smartphones as the successors to last year’s Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7. While both these two new devices are only limited to the Indian market, the company will be launching two new devices under the Galaxy On series in China. The devices with the model numbers SM-G5700 and SM-G6100 are now listed on TENAA and are expected to be the rumored Galaxy On5 2016 and Galaxy On7 2016 respectively.
Unlike the already launched Galaxy On devices, the upcoming Galaxy On5 2016 and Galaxy On7 2016 will sport the metal body. Recently the company also launched the metal build Galaxy C5 and C7 mid-range smartphones exclusively in China. Apart from the dual-SIM slots, both the devices come with a separate MicroSD card slot. The devices run on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with the customized TouchWiz UI on top.
While the volume rocker is placed on the right edge, the power button and a mysterious open slot can be found on the left edge. Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy On5 2016 comes with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 617 SoC. On the other hand, the Galaxy On7 2016 sports a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz. As seen on earlier Galaxy On devices, there is no AMOLED display on both these devices.
Both the devices includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera on both the devices. The Galaxy On5 2016 is backed by a 2600mAh battery; the Galaxy On7 2016 is kept powered on by a 3300mAh battery. The Galaxy On5 2016 measures 142.8 x 69.6 x 8.1 mm and weighs 142 grams. Coming to the Galaxy On7 2016, it measures 151.5 x 74.9 x 8 mm and weighs 166.7 grams.
The devices will be available in Gold, Pink Gold, Black, and Metallic Gold color options. As the devices are now listed on TENAA, we can expect the official launch to happen soon. The Galaxy Note 7 will be launched on August 26th in China, and we guess the above mentioned device to be revealed on the same stage. In China, the company will be exclusively launching the Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while rest of the world gets only the 4GB variant with 64GB of storage.
