Samsung took the wraps off of the Galaxy S 5 mini earlier today, and as expected, the specs are toned down, not the software.
It includes a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED 720p (1280 x 720) display with Gorilla Glass 3, a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD for up to an additional 64 GB of storage, 8 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front-facing camera, 2,100 mAh battery, and Android 4.4. Just like it’s bigger brother, it sports I67 certification.
Fans of the Galaxy S 5′s software interface will be happy to know that the mini has the same features like Ultra Power Saving Mode, a heart rate monitor, fingerprint scanner, and connectivity with the latest Samsung wearable devices.
It will be available in mid-July (starting in Russia) and there will be four color options: Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. Pricing wasn’t announced, but expect it to be around £399 ($684).
