Samsung has confirmed all the features unveiled yesterday: Android Gingerbread, TouchWiz UI, 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED display (slightly curved), 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and a 1,500 mAh battery. In addition, we now know that the Galaxy S Advance measures 123.2 x 63.0 x 9.69 mm, and comes with HSPA (14.4Mbps), Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Samsung Hub, Samsung ChatON, 768MB of RAM, and 8GB / 16GB of internal memory.
Another feature of the new smartphone is Find My Mobile – “a unique lost-phone management system that ensures secure phone data encryption in case of phone loss, and that enables users to trace their lost phone directly via the Web or even delete the device’s data remotely.”
There’s no word if the Galaxy S Advance will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to Samsung, the new Galaxy S Advance will be released in Russia next month (February). After that, the handset will reach other markets, including Europe, Middle East, Southeast and Southwest Asia, China, Latin America and Africa. Samsung didn’t unveil the price of the Galaxy S Advance.
