Samsung Galaxy S Advance i9070 hits the FCC with AT&T 3G, gets priced at €494 in Germany
Announced by Samsung in late January as its latest addition to the Galaxy S family of Android smartphones, and showcased at MWC 2012 in Barcelona this week, the Galaxy S Advance i9070 has now showed up at the FCC.
The handset’s version that won the Federal Commission’s approval features AT&T-friendly 3G bands (850 / 1900 MHz). As always, this only means that AT&T could launch the Galaxy S Advance, and not that it definitely will.
We’ll obviously let you know if we find out more about a possible release of the Advance i9070 in the US.
US market aside, Samsung has officially unveiled that the Galaxy S Advance would be available in Germany starting this month, for a suggested retail price of €494 (about $625). If that seems expensive to you (and it should, because it is expensive), keep in mind that the actual market prices of Samsung’s smartphones in Germany are usually lower than the suggested ones.
The Samsung Galaxy S Advance runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread (likely upgradeable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich), and features a 4 inch WVGA Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass display, TouchWiz 4.0 UI, HSPA 14.4Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GHz dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 2GB of ROM, and 8GB or 16GB of storage space.
