GLOBAL - UK carriers released information about delays in the shipments of the Pebble Blue and Marble White versions of the new Samsung Galaxy S III, but globally the device is now available.
There is no additional data on the exact reasons for the delay, but some reports reveal that the Pebble Blue version, which has a newly invented colour and is made from special hyper-glaze material, is delayed due to a mismatch of the front and back panels of the shipped phones. The difference was only discovered in the retail partners of Samsung, and now the company is struggling to replace the panels. The delay could last up to two or three weeks.
It is unknown whether this delay have any influence on the expected release dates of the Samsung Galaxy S III in South Africa, as most carriers are planning to make the phone available in June or July. Vodacom, however, tweeted that the new smartphone is now available for its clients with a retail price of under R9,000 or R349 per month on a 24-month Vodacom Business Call contract. The contract will include 250MB of data per month for the full 24-months.
[BREAKING NEWS] It's confirmed. The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available at Vodacom World from 29 May 2012.
