Of course when that ‘later’ will be is a question haunting every smartphone fan out there. Over the past few months we’ve hard countless rumors regarding the Galaxy S III, we even had several different ‘leaked spec lists’. On the release time frame though, we’ve only heard March or April so far.
And today a new report from ZDNet Korea says that the superphone will arrive in April. The announcement may happen sometime this month. The information supposedly comes straight from Samsung, via its global marketing and advertising agency, Cheil Worldwide.
Samsung apparently wants the Galaxy S III to be in stores in the UK during the Summer Olympics, and it’s prepping a huge ad and marketing campaign for that event. The UK will be one of the launch markets for the new phone.
The latest rumor regarding the Galaxy s III’s specs has it coming with a 1.5 GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, a 4.8-inch Full HD 1080p touchscreen, an 8 MP camera, a 2 MP front-facing camera, and a ceramic case. It will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will have 4G LTE support.
Whether or not any of the above is real… we’re bound to find out soon enough. So stick around.
