Solution: This could be caused by a corrupt data within the app. Try clearing the cache and data of the app then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then I suggest you uninstall the Viber app and reinstall a fresh version from the Google Play Store.
You should also check the front camera of your phone and see if it is working. To do this just open the Camera app then switch it from rear to front.
S4 Music Player App Closes
Problem:My sound player app closes everyone I try to click on the artist section. I’ve tried restarting the phone and nothing worked.
Solution: Clearing the cache and data of the music app usually helps in this case. Try to follow this up with wiping the cache partition of your phone as well. If the problem persists then try to download a third party music app and see if the issue remains. If it doesn’t then the problem may be with an update to the stock music app. Try uninstalling the update of the stock music app and see if this resolves the issue. If it does then don’t install any new updates to the app yet. Just wait for the next update to arrive.
S4 Apps Not Working Properly
Problem:Apps keep stop in the middle of using. And internet network doesn’t work so often until device power reset. Maps or GPS related apps stop suddenly and notify later for bug. These problems have been showed from the beginning and drive me so annoying.
Solution: Since the issue seems to affect most of your apps and is also affecting the Internet connection I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset has finished do not install any apps yet. Check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then the problem may be caused by corrupt data in your phone which has been taken out by the factory reset. You can now install your favorite apps.
S4 Contact App Has Stopped
Problem:Contact!!!!! my contact app has stopped and i ve lost my all contacts. It always shows ‘contact list being updated’ since two days. I also did soft reset but nothing happened. Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Solution:This is a common issue on phones that are running on Android Lollipop. Try clearing the cache and data of the Contacts app and see if this resolves the issue. If it doesn’t then proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone.
You should also turn off the sync setting for your Contacts and see if this works. To do this go to Settings – Accounts – tap on your account name – make sure Contacts is unchecked. Restart your phone.
S4 Turns Off When Playing Words With Friends
Problem:Hi ‘the droid guy’, My phone has recently been playing up at times when I use the app ‘words with fiends’. It glitches and sometimes turns off, and when I turn it back on it comes up with a black screen and the android symbol turned on its side and opened with a red sign in it. It then gives me options like to ‘reboot’, ‘factory reset’
Solution: Does this problem occur only when playing Words with Friends? If it does then there may be a problem with the app itself. Try clearing the cache and data of the app. Follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone. If this does not work then uninstall the app and download a fresh version from the Google Play Store.
If your phone has a microSD card installed then try to remove this first when installing the Words with Friends app. Play the game without the microSD card and check if the problem still occurs. If it doesn’t then the microSD card may be causing the problem.
If all else fails I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S4 Stock Email Freezes
Problem:After an update in spring 2015 my stock emails are freezing. I have about 10 email accounts: yahoo, hotmail and gmail. If I open the combined inbox, select junk email for deletion, delete them and try to open new unread emails, it takes about 15-60 seconds to open an email. Sometimes I get the message saying what the email stopped responding and asking if I want to wait or close the application. After the email application start working I can see what a new email from hotmail just loaded into inbox. If i read new emails first without marking some email as Read or I don’t go through email and select some emails for deletion first, the emails open fine. But if I try to reply to an email and than try to read another email, same freezing and lagging starts. I have deleted all download applications, it didn’t fix the problem. I also tried to disable all unused Samsung applications, but it didn’t fix the problem.
Solution: There’s a big possibility that this problem is caused by the cached data of the stock email app. Try clearing the cache of the stock email app first then follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone.
If you are still experiencing the same issue then I suggest you clear the data of the email app. Take note that you will have to setup your email accounts again after this. If you proceed with this troubleshooting step then I suggest you setup one email account first then check if you still experience the lagging or freezing issue. If no issues occur then setup another email account. If you get to a point where after setting up an email account the problem occurs then that account may be causing the problem.
