A Galaxy S4 video with an iPad mini has Jony Ive in the background
A leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 video shows off a new design for the Galaxy series, but with one odd detail: it's accompanied by the very recognizable voice of Jonathan Ive, Apple's Senior VP of Industrial Design.
With the Apple ad playing in the background aside, the brief look at what could be the Galaxy S4 shows us that its design is not a huge departure from the previous model. Perhaps this is for good reason: the Galaxy S3 design is arguably the first from Samsung that isn't totally boxy or unattractive, and every Samsung smartphone since then has taken its design cues from that original, curvy body.
The camera module on the back of the Galaxy S4 body looks much larger than its predecessor's, which may prove the 13MP camera rumor to be true. As I've said before, if the Galaxy S4 does have a 13MP camera and retains the image quality seen in the Galaxy S3, coupled with improved low-light capture, it could become one of the best cameras on a smartphone yet.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, though, we'll just look forward to Samsung's Galaxy S4 event on March 14. It will take place at Radio City Music hall in New York City, and given Samsung's hype and previews for the event, we're imagining it's going to be a huge one.
We'll be at the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch event live on Thursday, so do stick around and follow our coverage, and we'll give our best to show you what's happening as it happens. We'll finally see if the 1.8GHz Exynos processor rumor is true, along with all the other goodies we're pretty much expecting comes to fruition.
