Last week we had the opportunity to take the Galaxy S5 for a quick spin, bringing you a closer look at the camera software that runs the GS5’s 16MP ISOCELL-powered shooter(as seen in vid above). What about the actual picture-taking capabilities of the device, how well does the camera hold up, hype aside? That’s a great question.
While at MWC 2014 we managed to take several sample pictures, a 4K video sample, and a 1080p sample in order to give our readers a better idea of what the GS5’s camera really brings to the table. Just keep in mind that all images were taken in auto-mode, and the area in which the shots were taken was rather dimly lit with just a few bright spots.

What do you think?
Samsung certainly put more focus into its camera this time around, and ISOCELL technology helps improve the camera quality over the Galaxy S5’s predecessor. The real question is how the handset’s camera compares to other high-end mobile devices out there like the Sony Xperia Z1 and Z2, or even the Lumia 1020 and it’s 41MP shooter.
What do you think, impressed by the GS5′s camera? How do you feel it compares to the competition? Let us know your thoughts on the GS5’s image and video quality in the comments below!
