When Samsung went official with their next big thing… the Galaxy S5, a lot of users wondered that Samsung would probably ditch the Active version of the smart phone considering how the basic variant covered both the dust and water protection. It was not long after the official announcement, the rumours about an Active variant in works started popping up on the internet, but recently there have been more than one leak and even a video confirming that we’ll be seeing the Galaxy S5 Active somewhere in the future.
Now evleaks have heated up the things by leaking what looks like a render of the Galaxy S5 Active that will be heading to AT&T, it isn’t really surprising as the Galaxy S4 Active was also exclusive to AT&T but we’re hoping that Samsung launches this smart phone globally as well.
As far as the protections are concerned, we’re not really sure what the Galaxy S5 Active would come with since the original already had dust and water protection, but that doesn’t mean we can hope for some betterment such as an increased amount of water and dust protection would be nice, considering how the phone looks, it’s safe to say that the phone will be coming with some kind of resistance against shocks and sudden drops. You can check out the picture attached below, all thanks to evleaks.
The picture also reveals that the hardware buttons are making return, as for the screen, we’re not sure if Samsung is going for the LCD screen like they did with the Galaxy S4 Active, or their conventional Super AMOLED screen, but we do know about the screen size of the phone as well as the resolution. Thanks to a leaked video, we can see the Galaxy S5 Active sporting a full HD screen that’s 5.2 inches. That’s a slight upgrade over the original one.
