SEOUL, South Korea - Samsung has launched its new Galaxy S5 LTE-A smartphone, the world’s first broadband LTE-A smartphone, with the company’s top specs and LTE download speeds of up to 225mbps.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A falls in the premium range category and hosts a 5.1” WQHD Super AMOLED display with a whopping 2560×1440 pixel resolution. The handset is equipped with 2.5GHz quad-core processor, its memory options include a 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 128GB of expandable memory via microSD card. At its back lies a 16MP camera having features like HDR mode and selective focus, while the front has a 2.0MP camera. Needless to say, being an LTE handset it supports 4G connectivity along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, IR Remote and USB 3.0.
Additional features include Ultra Power Saving mode, S Health 3.0, Private Mode, Quick Connect, Kids Mode and Download Booster. It has an IP67 certification making it water- and dust-proof. The battery capacity of the device is 2800mAh.
The handset has been launched in its hometown of South Korea and comes in several color options of shimmer white, black charcoal, sweet pink, copper gold, electric blue and glam red.
